The Perfect World

Topic: The Perfect World

Lesson PDF link: The Perfect World

Imagine a world where everything is perfect. What is it like? The biblical definition of perfect is probably somewhat different than what our imagination can conjure. This is a world where God lives with man again, there is beauty everywhere, and there is plenty to eat. This is a world where shelter isn't a problem either because in a perfect world God is our shelter. Any structures that would be homes would never degrade, damaged or be destroyed by anything. Then you have something called money. In a perfect world, money is not needed and any investments you had wouldn't mean anything because God supplies all needs in His perfect economy at no cost and any manufacturing would be done also without a cost. Everything is abundant and ready to make whatever is requested and ability never tires. Nothing will be wasted. This is a world where everyone cooperates and no one is ever greedy. This is a world where all testimony and teaching of our Lord Jesus that is trustworthy and true are well received and listened to. This is a world where faith, grace, forgiveness, and mercy abound leaving no spiritual darkness at all. Everything becomes brand-spanking new. No one is ill so hospitals and medicines are not needed. God is our healer. Everything is curable and cured already. No disease exists. Forgiveness and healing for all nations will be of utmost importance. Any debts that have been incurred are cancelled. Freedom reigns in Jesus Christ. Emotional hurt doesn't exist for we all have the same purpose. Although minor differences still may remain in style etc., we are all worshipping together in harmony. The body of Christ is whole without being crippled, tired, or broken in any way. The Father, Son, And Holy Spirit are glorified in anything and everything. Everyone serves in the way that they ought and never are they overwhelmed by time constraints (for time doesn't matter), fatigue (none exists), distraction (nothing else matters more than worship and service). Everyone becomes as good as blood relations because we are all adopted into Christ's family who are there. All creation that was is new. However, the devil won't be in the details. He will be banished forever along with his angels and whoever is found by God to be following those ways and not submissive to the blood of Christ and the Way that entails.

The Bible States:

Rev 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

Rev 21:2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

Rev 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

Rev 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Rev 21:5 He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

Rev 21:6 He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.

Rev 21:7 He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. And The Bible States This:

Rev 22:1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

Rev 22:2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

Rev 22:3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.

Rev 22:4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

Rev 22:5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

Now, we go to what we are experiencing now. We don't have a perfect world right now. Greed is rampant. Disease kills everything by the droves. Food is scarce in its ugliest and cruelest forms in a lot of places. There are too many people that don't have their needs met (much less what they would want). Sometimes people have priorities so mixed up that they focus on wants first and needs are needlessly unmet. A lot of times grace and forgiveness doesn't abound in people's hearts. Humility is becoming less and less popular. People jockey for position so much that nothing positive gets accomplished. The list goes on. Everything that was listed above that a perfect world is, for right now is true in the opposite. This has been true for a long time now and is getting worse seemingly by the minute.

The Bible States:

Mt 6:19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

Mt 6:20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Mt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Mt 6:22 "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.

Mt 6:23 But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

Mt 6:24 "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

These Are The Words Of Jesus Christ.

The Bible Also States:

1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

The Bible Also States:

Heb 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

Although not probable, we can do more to emulate what Revelation says will happen. Some people might even find it scary, because it will mean thinking about God first, not putting ourselves first, forgiving things like debt and wrongs that bind, cooperating instead of jockeying, sharing what we have in excess of and the takers in these cases doing so in humility. Then those same people would be willing to give what they have and knowing it's OK. Things a giver would need but given in faith would receive that need in abundance from the people that have that in abundance freely. No one would be left empty. People seem to be afraid to give because of quota or being afraid of having. This, for a perfect world, shouldn't be. What would happen if everyone had such an excess of their gifts and resources that they would always be glad to clear room; although, they would have different gifts and resources than others. This would compel people to give. My personal vision of perfection is where one person is just as important as another and is always able to give what people need to them. For example, in this world of technology, what if the newest things were in such abundance that demand would be met and supply would not be depleted and in fact so abundant that charging a person even a cent would be useless because everyone is happy to manufacture as an act of worship. Older stuff that brings fond memories would also be of the same abundance and everything would be happily manufactured in the same manner. Of course some of this would be wants; however in this world of necessary global communication, it would fit. The interesting thing about the way this world has become negatively is abuse of good programs and services. In the perfect world this would be impossible because everyone would have the same righteous mindset.

In Matthew 10, we see that the original disciples were sent out by Jesus. They were given specific instructions and they were given specific responsibilities and gifts as a group and were told to share these said gifts freely. They were told to have faith that their needs would be met by their friendly host they would find individually. They were also told not to be afraid of enemies or detractors who discourage or try to stop them even to the point of death. Jesus also defined who is worthy of Him and we are told nothing should separate us from what we know and Who we know. Some of the verses themselves don't fit this paper but the overall idea of the premise of this account does wholeheartedly. We need to freely give of our talents and gifts to the cause of Christ.

Because money wouldn't be necessary in God's economy, striving for personal or corporate gain would be moot. God has promised recognition of righteous accomplishment in His own time and way, however in the end it really belongs to the Lord, and so it will be. Personal attention won't be as necessary as interest in experiencing these talents in everyone. Everyone with these talents would have audience with necessary people; and of course with God Himself. So, if you do anything, do it as if God is personally watching (Because He Is).

In fact everything can be traced back to God's hand in His realm (which includes everything). Anything that is separated from God in judgment is then dead and forgotten to those righteous who are in this world that God through John talks about in Revelation. God never forgets His own or what is counted as righteousness in Christ.

The Bible States:

Ps 115:1 Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.

Ps 115:2 Why do the nations say, "Where is their God?"

Ps 115:3 Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.

Ps 115:4 But their idols are silver and gold, made by the hands of men.

Ps 115:5 They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but they cannot see;

Ps 115:6 they have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but they cannot smell;

Ps 115:7 they have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but they cannot walk; nor can they utter a sound with their throats.

Ps 115:8 Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.

Ps 115:9 O house of Israel, trust in the LORD-- he is their help and shield.

Ps 115:10 O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD-- he is their help and shield.

Ps 115:11 You who fear him, trust in the LORD-- he is their help and shield.

Ps 115:12 The LORD remembers us and will bless us: He will bless the house of Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron,

Ps 115:13 he will bless those who fear the LORD-- small and great alike.

Ps 115:14 May the LORD make you increase, both you and your children.

Ps 115:15 May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Ps 115:16 The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to man.

Ps 115:17 It is not the dead who praise the LORD, those who go down to silence;

Ps 115:18 it is we who extol the LORD, both now and forevermore. Praise the LORD.

Now understand if you look at these verses very carefully, they sing a song of praise and faith that speak volumes of who God is. Just as God won't forget the houses of Israel and Aaron, those in Christ will never be forgotten either and that is one of the biggest things that God has in this message. Why worship money or position when the real God is ready to work His wonderful miraculous way in anyone's life that earnestly seeks Him.

To recap, we don't live in the perfect world that the Bible describes; however, we humans don't help matters as a whole. There is seemingly more bad stuff going on than good. Even though we are but a poor reflection of truth in the world we live in, we can make things closer to God's way of perfect even though we sometimes have the fatigue, distraction, disease etc. We can forgive, we can give of our excesses and even things we might need for the greater good of someone else, and we can give up control of others in order to cooperate to get something positive to happen. We can meditate and pray in faith more rather than look for things that don't last. Nation can forgive nation of crippling debt and hurtful action. If nations would instead help each other with resources and talent and not tie loans to crippled and to crippling economies, we would have less of a problem. In other words, a loan shouldn't be held over a country if they can't pay because of sudden circumstances, or a loan be given to a country just to control some, most, or all of its affairs. In God's economy there should never be a country that goes bankrupt due to circumstances of trying to help their people. If it wasn't the country's fault except a few corrupt politicians then they should be ousted and leadership reset to provide another chance (Keep going until true God fearing leaders are found). Governments will be judged also by God Himself so let no country be caught unawares. A country that does what God wants should take a page from this lady.

The Bible States:

Lk 7:36 Now one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, so he went to the Pharisee's house and reclined at the table.

Lk 7:37 When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume,

Lk 7:38 and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

Lk 7:39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is--that she is a sinner."

Lk 7:40 Jesus answered him, "Simon, I have something to tell you." "Tell me, teacher," he said.

Lk 7:41 "Two men owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.

Lk 7:42 Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he canceled the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?"

Lk 7:43 Simon replied, "I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled." "You have judged correctly," Jesus said.

Lk 7:44 Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.

Lk 7:45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet.

Lk 7:46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet.

Lk 7:47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven--for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little."

Lk 7:48 Then Jesus said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."

Lk 7:49 The other guests began to say among themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?"

Lk 7:50 Jesus said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

This lady was earnestly seeking the Lord and found him. She was willing to give what she had to anoint Jesus and didn't expect the present that Jesus gave. She was given the full salvation and grace of God because she was seen to be genuine and repentant (although she didn't literally say the words "Forgive me". It was read in its most genuine form and granted.

However, if the mindset of some nations doesn't change, I understand chastising. In some nations, the law of the land is fear and revenge. In God's dictatorship that will be, the law of the land is love. It won't feel like a dictatorship for those who have a peaceful selfless mindset already. It will feel that way to those who are closed to the Gospel, and to Christ and for what they stand.

In the parable of the unmerciful servant, (Mat. 18: 21-35) a person had a huge debt and couldn't pay it back. The master or king in this parable forgave this debt because of inability to pay, the person probably being crippled by the debt, and that the servant pleaded patience and evidently forgiveness of this debt (after the consequences were about to come down--the penalty was pretty unbearable). Unfortunately, this same servant was control hungry and was lauding a small debt over one of his servants. The master or king punished this man for his arrogance and ingratitude--far worse than just sold into enslavement. I don't know about the torture part when it comes to countries that would be that ungrateful or arrogant, but I do know that major corrective measures would be done in God's perfect economy and it might feel like torture to said government especially. It probably would be a torturous prison of sorts.

There won't be any injustice, prejudice etc. either. No one will be stealing opportunities to shine in Christ or be passed over for advancement possibilities in Christ's love, power and experience because one is seemingly different. Everyone will be given service opportunities based on experience, skill level and how responsible one is.

The Bible States:

Mt 25:14 "Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them.

Mt 25:15 To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.

Mt 25:16 The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more.

Mt 25:17 So also, the one with the two talents gained two more.

Mt 25:18 But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.

Mt 25:19 "After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them.

Mt 25:20 The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.'

Mt 25:21 "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'

Mt 25:22 "The man with the two talents also came. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.'

Mt 25:23 "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'

Mt 25:24 "Then the man who had received the one talent came. 'Master,' he said, 'I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.

Mt 25:25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'

Mt 25:26 "His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?

Mt 25:27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

Mt 25:28 " 'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents.

Mt 25:29 For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

Mt 25:30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

When we have God-given responsibilities and duties we need to do them cheerfully without hesitation. Sometimes we may be afraid because of possible consequences that could arise, but trust me, using our talents, gifts, and authority correctly for Christ will yield kingdom profit--more people in heaven and a more God- centered world. If we are lazy with and too afraid to use our time, energy etc. for Christ, then what we have will not be in our hands to use and it will be given to those more responsible and that kind of servant won't last and will be separated from the kingdom that was refused to be worked for.

In God's perfect world, prisoners that seemingly have ruined their physical lives would be rehabilitated. They need the same grace and power to do better as we all do. With God in control these people would be just as valuable to this perfect world God wants. When Christ comes back, prisoners would be freed who earnestly repent anyway. When the world becomes absolutely perfect in Christ prisons are no longer needed for everyone who is of Christ will never be even remotely separated or do anything that would have meant time there. (This of course is an end of time scenario). Also, if we knew which ones to release because of total rehab and repentance it would happen in God's due time in a perfect world. In Isaiah 51, we see that one of the very first things we see is God wants freedom for captives and release from darkness for the prisoner. Now, likely this might mean God's plan for exiled Israel (says my copy of Matthew Henry's Commentary), but I really think it means more as well for today because not all the people that are jailed are hardened, not to mention that all people can be reached if they have an experience from Christ that they can anchor to. With everyone in perfect harmony, who needs prisons?

In God's perfect world, good ideas wouldn't go unheeded, Teachers won't lack for students and those students once taught where they are interested will be able to teach and serve and won't lack either etc. The disappointment of a lack of clarity on where interest in God's plan should be (service to the kingdom of God or job where one is best suited) won't happen either God would give such thought of clarity. Wholesome dreams would never come up empty. This is what we as Christians should be praying for day and night in faith. We won't get tired of doing what is right. Once this clarity comes act on it without hesitation. As Christians, there are always going to be opportunities to love each other and to teach about Christ. Where's your interest lie in service to our King? Don't be afraid and pray about it in faith. If you cannot figure, pray for that clarity with faith that God in Christ will give you undisputable vision. This world needs all the role models that it can get about the perfect world Christ wants. This will make you personally part of the solution through Christ who redeems. Here's to a better world that God has planned since before time began.

Although there is no smoking gun for this particular line of thinking, look at it this way, if we are to have responsibility and authority per our skill level we should be able to increase that skill level and management capability that was talked about above. Therefore, when expertise of God's choosing is in someone that is the resource that person uses and has authority on and responsibility. Everyone that is in God's perfect world will have clarity on who they are in Christ. As stated before, those who are searching for where they fit will need a lot of faithful prayer in diligence and the belief and knowledge that God wants that clarity of path for everyone that is earnestly seeking Him. Also, to an important but less scope of things, a career path to where one is suited needs to be met with the same kind of prayer. Once a person knows where the fit is on any and all levels the easier to shine for Christ. May this perfect world come and be ours in Jesus Christ--because He promised we know this is so. We don't have it yet, but it is coming because Jesus is coming. Who knows when but The Father, but make no mistake the kingdom is coming. Be Ready.

I will leave this with one more passage.

The Bible States:

Rev 22:12 "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.

Rev 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Rev 22:14 "Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

Rev 22:15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Rev 22:16 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
